Plate heat exchanger

Plate heat exchanger
District heat has been one of the most popular forms of heating in densely populated areas in Finland for already decades. Images and information about this alternative, however, vary a lot. District heat refers to a heating technique where water or steam is heated in a power plant (using for instance natural gas, coal, peat, wood chip or condensed heat of industry), and led to the heat distribution centre of a building, and then returned to the power plant to be heated again. In the heat exchangers of the heat distribution centre a part of the heat energy contained by the district heat water is transferred for the heating of an apartment and for the heating of the service water.
